In 2024, Mindray upgraded this model. The BeneHeart C1A, formerly known as the C-series without a display, now features a compact 1.96" LCD screen.
This screen displays runtime, shock count, and battery status. It also allows you to check the system version, perform a manual self-test, and view error codes.
Two buttons next to the screen allow for easy navigation through the various options. During a deployment, visual cues are provided by green LEDs in the on-screen image when placing the electrodes.
An audible alarm has also been added to the updated model, making error notifications even more noticeable. When the lid is closed, the AED automatically checks for the presence of connected electrodes. If they are not connected, this is indicated by the red flashing status indicator and the new audible alarm.
