With a focus on versatility and multi-use, the SorbX™ Multi-Purpose Shield is available at different levels of radiation protection. The construction of the shield consists of a standard material and has a second layer with the industry’s most highly absorbent material for fluid containment. To improve its versatility, the shields are sterile, disposable, as well as lead-free.

As a result, the shields are environmentally-friendly. Since the shield is multi-purpose, it is usable in a variety of procedures across different labs that utilize fluoroscopy. The medical professional can place the shield anywhere on a patients’ body and allow for a single shield to be effective.

In order to prioritize the patient’s health, the SorbX® Multi-Purpose Shields are tested at three different levels of protection. By combining proper patient positioning along with procedure specific design, the medical professional can achieve maximum protection for the patient. Laboratory and clinical environment testing can validate the Shields protection level. The shield remains lightweight and flexible while also still fully functional. The dimensions of the shield are 12” x 16.5.”
