With an entry point at the femoral artery(groin), the SorbX Angiography Shield is a great asset to have. It has an overall dimension of 13” x 16”. It is a combination of standard material and high absorbent material for fluid containment.
The shields are sterile, disposable, as well as lead free, making the shields environmentally friendly.
The Angiography Shields are designed with fluoroscopy procedures in mind with an entry point of the groin with catheter use. When performing a coronary angiograph, stent placement, angioplasty or heart biopsies, this will be the shield to use. The shield has a small circular fenestration which is plenty of space for a catheter.
At the same time, it also provide optimal radiation protection. The angiography shields went through an engineering and evaluation process at three different levels of protection.
When medical professionals execute proper patient positioning along with using the shield, the patient will have maximum protection. The shields went through testing at independent laboratories as well as clinical environments.
